The local chapter of the American Professional Woman Association, Ventura County Women of Worth, has made their first $600 contribution to establish their “Business Skills Tuition Reimbursement Program.” This grant/scholarship program provides working women and students an opportunity to enhance their skills. The award was made to Amanda Mawer at the March meeting.

The group will be making $500 contributions to women who complete courses that enhance their career objectives and up to $1,500 grant to college students to help pay for tuition, books and fees. Applications will be accepted in Spring 2009.
